Four killed, six injured in Afrin explosion

SULAIMANI — Four people were killed and six others were injured when an improvised explosive device (IED) attached to a vehicle detonated in the center of Afrin city on Monday (October 11), according to a local media outlet.

The area is occupied by the Turkish military and its Syrian rebel allies.

A source told North Press Agency that the explosion occurred near al-Hal Market.

It said that pro-Turkey military police closed off the area and arrested two people, without revealing their identities.

The explosion caused significant material damage in addition to the casualties.
