SULAIMANI — Hengaw Organization for Human Rights said on Sunday (September 26) that a 37-year-old woman was found dead in Iran’s Kermanshah Province two days after she went missing.

The rights group said that her body was found under a bridge near Kalawa village on the Kameran Road and that she had apparently been tortured and burned.

"It seems that those who killed the woman were trying to steal from her," one of her reltives told Hengaw.

The security forces have arrested several people over the incident, the group added.

At least four women have been killed in Iranian Kurdistan over the past six months while the were being robbed, Hengaw said.
