YBS commander killed in Turkish air strike in Sinjar

SULAIMANI — Marwan Badal, the co-chair of the Autonomous Administration Council in Sinjar, was killed in a Turkish drone air strike on Tuesday (December 7) afternoon Hawar News Agency said.

Ezidi Press also reported Badal was killed in the strike, saying the attack occurred in Khanasor district in the northwest of Sinjar.

Badal’s two sons, who were also in the vehicle, were taken to a hospital, Hawar said.

Badal was also a commander of the Sinjar Resistance Units (YBS), a Yazidi militia formed in 2007.
