Erbil Coronavirus Operations Room closes 2,260 places of business

SULAIMANI — Erbil’s Coronavirus Operations Room said in a statement on Wednesday (July 1) that officials in the governorate have recently closed down 2,260 places of business for violating public health guidelines across the province’s municipalities.

The statement added that officials will continue to monitor adherence to the guidelines in order to mitigate the coronavirus outbreak in the Kurdistan Region.

According to the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) health ministry, there have been 6,403 cases of coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region as of Wednesday. An official tally of 2,078 patients have recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by coronavirus infection, and 213 have died from it.
